COWBOY MOUNTED SHOOTING ASSOCIATION BRINGS PACIFIC COAST CLASSIC TO MURIETA EQUESTRIAN CENTER IN SACRAMENTO JULY 9-12

The Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association (CMSA) brings its Pacific Coast Classic to the Murieta Equestrian Center, Sacramento July 9-12, 2009. Sponsored by Sundowner Trailers, Colt and Western Shooting Horse Magazine, the four-day event pits some of the nation’s best mounted shooting competitors against each other to vie for the Classic Championship title.
The public is invited free of charge to watch the competition which starts Thursday at 9:00 a.m. and continues 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily through Sunday. The highlight of the competition and perhaps of most interest to the public is the Saturday night Top Ten Showcase professional series that brings the nations top ten professional competitors together to determine the CMSA’s top horse and rider. The Saturday event starts at 7:00 p.m. and includes the Top Ten Cavalry Class finals, Top Ten Rifle Class finals and the Colt Eliminator finals. Designed to entertain the public, the Saturday night Top Ten is a crowd pleaser that is also free to the public. Western vendors selling cowboy hats, boots, clothing and tack will be open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for the duration of the event as well as Saturday night.

This event has been cancelled. Too bad. I was looking forward to seeing
some of the best shooters in the sport. I don't live too far from Rancho
Murieta. Hopefully in the future they will plan an event agian when the economy
is up. Ride hard and shoot straight.
