For the past two years I've been a member of both a State and Regional Board for AQHA and I ran a High Point Cowboy Mounted Shooting program in the State and Region 6. It was a big hit and brought me to taking it nationally through Cowboy Mounted Shooters.com. We're now involving other breeds in their own divisions and it will be a great way to help grow the sport. It's quite exciting. Promoting not only Cowboy Mounted Shooting but also the Breeds.

What a great deal to be working with the AQHA in our mounted shooting. Sure could be lots of opportunites with this HUGE organization.

Great placement of the demo between Barrel Racers and Pole Benders! Sounds like it went well. Our new site CowboyMountedShooters.com is up and running now and it's point divisions are by breed, so it should spike more interest with the Breed Associations. It will be great to be recognized with your horse too!

The crowd was interested, however it was the first time many had seen Cowboy Mounted Shooting live. Most of the crowd were sitting on the same side the video camara was on, so it is very hard to get an idea of how many were there watching, the camara side had good numbers watching. My family and I were (before Mounted shooting) AQHA Barrel Racers and Pole Benders, alot of our friends were there watching since we ran between the Barrel & Pole finals. Several people came to the CMSA booth that was set up to get information and talk about the sport.

I watched the demo live on the computer. The crowd seemed to be interested in what was going on, but it was pretty hard to judge the reaction. The camera only caught the first few rows of the crowd.

ooops - nope, that's just a promo for Mounted Shooting, not the demo. It is pretty cool though. I'll keep looking.

When you click on Cowboy Mounted Shooting and it takes you to the trail video scroll down and on the left side they list the videos again. Click there on Cowboy Mounted Shooting and you'll see it.

I can't find any videos on the AQHA website. One is listed as Cowboy Mounted Shooting, but when you click on it AQHYA trail is the video.

I tried to watch it live on a laptop while at a mounted shooting banquet but it was tough. Too much of a delay to see the runs well. I'm curious about the feedback from the exhibitors at the show.

Anybody hear how the demo went at the AQHA World show on Saturday? Bob Ruwe and Steve Wilson from Ohio was in it. I don't know who the other 8 were.
