The crowd was interested, however it was the first time many had seen Cowboy Mounted Shooting live. Most of the crowd were sitting on the same side the video camara was on, so it is very hard to get an idea of how many were there watching, the cam...

Diane & Ernie,
"Thank you" for organizing the NARHA events so that we, the Cowboys & Cowgirls of CMSA, get the opportunity to enjoy and share with these special kids our dreams of being real Cowboys & Cowgirls!

Congratulations! to all the Midwest Mounted Shooters that competed at the CMSA World Finals in Amarillo, Texas this past week! It was a great turnout with over 300 total entries and with many Midwest shooters placing at the top of their class! Nor...
Diane, even to a Midwesterner...this is breath taking! However, I'm glad its in Montana and NOT OHIO!!!!!
Drive safe, will see you in Amarillo. (praying for warm sunshine!)
I guess we'll be seeing you at the Regionals. I still can't believe that Zombie and I got the Ladies Reserve in Celina. I'm proud of my little gaited horse. I just got my Mid West Classic video, and I've only watched it about million times already. I can't believe how much Zombie has improved on his barrel turns and maneuvering compared to our November video. I also can't believe how many times Zombie changes leads during one run. It seems that every stride is in another lead. I think I might be telling him to change without knowing it. It's so neat to watch yourself run though. It gets kind of sad watching some runs. Zombie ran perfect in about all of them I just missed. I'm going to have to post the video on here is sections, because it is too long. You'll see once I post it what I'm talking about. I missed 3 balloons all weekend, and 2 were in the same pattern. Zombie ran perfect, but I just couldn't shoot them.
thank you so much for loaning Jim a fabulous horse. You two epitomize the CMSA spirit....loaning your competitor a horse. Wow .... I missed being there. I am happy I found a job and I thank God for all the blessings that my pharmacy job has provided throught the years. I miss getting to all the matches but I am trying to be positive about what new adventures we will have now. You never know around Jim. He is the eternal optimist. Come see us.
hi bob and barbee, wellllll,im begging my boss and wife will let you know if we can go later, thanks for the invite, hope to see you at irr meeting tonite!!! bob
Hi Barb and Bobby! Just to let you know, we still are not back in the groove to include shooting this year, but never say never! Dave postponed his surgery (knees) and Jill has had news of new tumor growth. She now has to start a course of radiation, and we'll see what comes next. Her sprits, emotions and overall health are VERY good. We continue to pray for complete healing, but also for guidance of what God wants us to do with the knowledge and experience of this "brain cancer" journey. He has blessed us immeasurably, and we know he has MORE for Jill and for us to do!
Take care. Hope to see you somewhere along the trail!
Carol and Dave
Barbee! Ole Phil is gonna judge the desserts! I'm making Chili! He can't judge my category. He likes my chili too well! The hands are doing great! Stronger everyday & no numbness! I gues I had better shoot straight & clean this year. I have no excuses! Haha! See ya soon girlie! Cheryl
Barbie, Thanks! I like that shirt. Doug and I got a couple of shirts when we were at the Easterns last year. On sale, of course!! I did ok. This was the first shoot off of the little grulla. Well, except for my last stage on Sunday. It really sucks when you forget to load your guns..... :) Oh well. I had a great time anyway. As always. We haven't made our minds up if we are going to Tunica yet. I just want to wear shorts! I want to be on vacation, dang it!
I forgot to tell you and Bobby that I received this week offically from the Arabian Horse Association my trophy and cerificate of Achievement for the National High Point championship in the OEIP for Mounted Shooting. Bless Saber's heart. Thought you might like to know. I will try and get you picture in the next week or two after my AP class slows down. Right now things are pretty hairy for me because we have a test ever other day. Needless to say my brain is on overload right now.
