P.S. Beware of having ground-shooting gunsmiths work on your mounted shooting guns rilfes or pistols). They can over-slick the actions and you may end up with light hits or chambering problems.

The best rifle to use for mounted shooting is the '73. It is the fastest action, easy to maintain and has the best loading action (least amount of jams) with the elevator/battery action. I've never had a problem with my .45 cal rifles in the...

Taylor's & Co "Smokewagon Shootout" a huge success!
CMSA Announcer and Wild West Performer Denny Chapman produced the first mounted shooting event ever to be held at the Central Florida Fair in Orlando FL April 25. The event, who's title sponsor was Taylor's & Company Firearms, featured the best mounted shooters in the state of Florida. "We had 30 shooters, all level 3's and up, from Florida", Chapman said. Was great to finally meet you this weekend. I have enjoyed your pics on here for quite some time and your video's as well. Great job on the announcing this past weekend at the Midwest Classic. Was a joy to have some great music and ride with good people. Cassie and I have not really been to any "Big" shoots, so this was definetly a new experience for us !!!

- I have been hearing great comments from the JAX event. and heard you weren't to shabby either. I should of came down last week. /We got 10 inches of snow and then was 50 degrees this past weekend then 4 more inches of snow today. I will never get to practice, getting really bummed out about it.
