I had a real good time Diane. I may not have done a whole lot, but it was fun meeting the staff from the two groups and watching the kids have such a good time. You could see the determination in a few of them, but the smiles were the best ! I hop...

You'll always be my faorite cowgirl. I enjoy reading about your travels and success. Keep it up and stay safe. How fortunate you are to have Ernie in your pit! Our club has suffered reduction due to the economics of the times. We're down to a small band of dedicated beginners. Although I still have the same size herd, I've trimmed my shooting horse selection down to two main mounts. I study your films and try to mimick style. It hs helped a great deal. Are you planning to shoot in Louisiana this month?

Hi Diane- hope you're doing well and getting ready to "kick some butt" at the World! (NO fast rides to the er- ok?) THe Fall Fest in Memphis was a blast. The best part was everyone expressing how much they enjoyed it. The weather finally quit raining just before the start of day one. It didn't matter much,'cause we're all cowoys (and girls) anyway. The trainers/shooters clinic on day 1 was very well attended. The weather was great for day two. Take Care ( Hearts Desire was out for day one and said they had a great time and it was very worth while.)

The weather here has just been horrible, but our spirits are high. We had hoped to shoot in an outdoor arena, since that's so rare around here. Back in June I had studied the idea and was told by the State's weather experts October is the driest month of the year. That being the case, a rodeo was booked (without my knowledge) for the big arena on the same day. (The city had promised me they wouldn't do that and I could fall back on the big stage if the weather was wet!) Well, we're really wet!!! However, there is a covered arena between the main building and the outdoor arena that we are going to use. I made the city sign a contract with me for the big, indoor arena this coming April. Now all I have to do is sell enough sponsorships to pay for it! I hope you and the Scronces will honor us then! Take Care RD

I am going to try to be at the Worlds. Hopefully, your recovery will be quicker than the the 6 - 8 weeks. If I go, I will definitely want to help you with the handicap riding. When will you need a definitive answer? Here is a link to a neat article about Arabian horses being used in a handicap riding program http://www.denverpost.com/lifestyles/ci_13336189
