We love our gaited breeds. When I go to shoots and see competitive gaited horses I know from experience how hard it is to train a gaited horse to run, much less shoot. This group is for all the people that love our gaited shooting horses.

I am currently looking at starting a new shooting horse and i am not sure where to start. My last horse was started very fast and he is very easy going and took to shooting very well. The horse that i am looking a starting now is not so easy going. So i guess what i am look for is in help in how to start a horse to shooting with the least amout of trouble.
