Thanks Lynn but we actually now have 3 big black horses:
Sheriff, our 16.1HH QH or QH X grade black horse I have used a few times. He needs more time and likes a loose rein so maybe not the best for shooting.
Maverick, we picked him up a couple week…
Thanks Lexi! It was nice to actually ride AND shoot well at the same time for a change. :-) I can't wait for winter practices to start at Crazy Horse so I can try out a couple new horses too. Tani will not be replaced either, but variety is the spic…
The shoot this weekend was awesome (although sadly we were only able to make it on Sunday). I managed to shoot clean all day and got my first qualified win as a level 3. The big surprise was finishing Men's Reserve for the shoot. :-) I think I am ge…
Marty, that sure is one fine buckle! IN State shoot was a blast, although I missed a couple too many balloons- I would have been second in my class had I not missed one on the last stage. GRRR. So I was a minion that did not do so good, although as…
Well I will jump on the Marty bandwagon and remind everyone I too have a pair of guns for sale:
a pair of Vaqueros, blue, old style (large frames) with super Blackhawk dropped hammers in them and smooth action jobs. $800 OBO, will consider trades fo…
We had a great time at the Circle G as always! Now if I could only run faster AND hit more balloons! ;-) Still a great time and Wyatt had a ton of fun riding on his own for the first time in a stage! He still wants to go fast on the rundown like the…
I"m trying to get into this sport and am researching guns. I saw that you got the montados for Christmas and am wondering what you think of them so far. It seems that they may be a good beginners gun, especially for small-ish hands.

Hey Kevin, Dick Bowman is taking the horse he just bought from Karen Lee to the clinic next weekend, so I do not see why you couldn't take "Sherriff" to the clinic instead of "Tani". "Sherriff" is much farther along then Dick's horse is and we just work on drills and getting Personalized improvement suggestions from Jim and Andra to help us shoot better from the horse we are riding,,,,, sooooooo.... I Think you should take "Sherriff" just my thoughts...Connie
There is a ground shooter out here with 2 blued birdsheads for sale. She wants 500.00 ea. Tried to trade her 2 tanned buffalo hides for her stainless, but she (for some odd reason) thought tanned hides were worth only 25.00 If you are interested can get you her number.

Ah *now* I understand what cch means. Mike has a couple of friends with ffl licences and they are going to check this am to see if there are any montatos out there and for how much. We tried 'em for me and I hate them, but everyone else likes them.
