Larry, One of the most important things is to be able to get to your destination, sometimes no small feat. A very good road side assistance program is USRider , specifically designed for trucks, trailers, and horses. I carry it and have been lucky so far have not had to use it. However several of my friends have used it and found it to be extremely helpful. Also a couple of websites: www.horseandmuletrails.com is a good site to find places to ride and overnight stopping places. Also www.horsetrip.com is a good site for finding places to stop. Magazines such as Trailrider or Trailblazer also contain a lot of information
