WATAUGA – Mr. David A. Wilson, 49, 441 Smalling Road, Watauga, TN, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 17, 2009, in Millinocket Regional Hospital in Millinocket, ME.

He was the son of the late Willene Modina McCranie Wilson, who passed away on August 16, 2009, and Don Wilson, of Elizabethton. It's sad that another chapter of America History has closed.
Mrs Shahann, the Matriarch of Alamo Village passed away last week and with her passing,
The heirs of the Village terminated all the employees and locked the gates.

the Village holds warm memories for me.
We had some Mounted Shoots there and trailrides.
I wrote 2 articles for TrailRiding magazine about the history of John Wayne and the movie studio.
