I have always had trailers with a step until recently. I purchased a new trailer back in Sept. and it has a ramp. After having a trailer with a ramp, I wouldn't have anything else. My horses adjusted to it just fine. You are going to have horses tha…

Say you have 30 shooters, 4 stages
We pay balloon setters $10 per rider so thats $300 off the top
If we have the event at our ranch, there is no arena fee
Avg ammo is $.40/round so that is $16/rider or $480 for ammo
Balloons are about $.04 each so that is $48
Total costs are $828
Average costs per rider is $27.60
If you have an $85 entry fee, and you pay back 50%, that is $42.50 or just round up to $43.
Your divisions pay one place for every three competitors. Say you have 6 Mens Pro's, you would pay two places at a 60/40 split. The money in the post would total $43 x 6 or $258. 1st place would be $154.80 and 2nd would be $103.20.
Long and drawn out explanation of costs with it but hope that gives you an idea.
Hi Mike, good seeing you this past weekend. Thanks for coming to the shoot.
I do have a question as I am thinking of taking the range master's test. If a rider crosses the time line and his hat flies off and it stops the timer, does he get a 60 second run or a do over?
THANKS - I am so glad that my ribs healed enogh to throw the rope, but it still hurts to do dishes, ha ha - not. Tell your wonderful wife howdy from me. .
Look forward to seeing you all again soon, GREAT and AWESOME ...(get it)
Hey Mike, at this year's Arabian Nationals which ended this past weekend there was a demo of Mounted Shooting. We had a bunch of Arabian trainers ride and shoot off of our horses. A trainer from North Carolina, Ted Carson, participated and came away really excited. I emailed him a bunch of information about mounted shooting and sent him the web addy's for the clubs in North Carolina. I did add on the link to your club that your were a great guy. Ted's email address is TedCarson@intrstar.net if you want to drop him a note. He is going to leave for Egypt in a few days so he may not be able to do anything soon. But it might help you get new members in your club. He lives in White Oak. His website is tedcarson.com
Go to www.shootfireranch.com and go to photo gallery and you will see some closers pictures. Also the NRS catalog will feature the saddle with Curt's pic and you can see it there however I am not sure if it is a better pic or not. So just look on our website and if you have any questions about the saddle give us a shout either email or cell all of which is on website. Thanks for your interest!
