Florida Mounted Shooting Couple win Championship Titles at Taylor's Runnin' Iron Shootout

Chuck and Candy McCrary of Umatilla FL were named Champion Cowboy and Champion Cowgirl at the Central Florida Fair's Taylor's & Company Runnin' Iron Shootout last night (March 5) in Orlando. The event, produced by Denny Chapman's Wild West Entertainment (www.DennyChapman.com), featured a PBR-Style Grand Entry, two mounted shooting stages, and professional, rodeo-style entertainment in a 2-hour package. "We've got it down to a science," Chapman said, "Using our entertainment and event production experience, we've got a great fair package with non-stop entertainment." Central Florida Fair Livestock Manager Stacey Redditt called the event a "major success". "It's a big draw for us," Reddit explained, "Denny has put together an awesome event that sells tickets and puts people in our stands." Taylor's & Company Firearms (www.TaylorsFirearms.com), title sponsor of the event, awarded the winners a pair of the newest mounted shooting guns on the market - the Taylor's "Runnin' Iron." Other event sponsors includes Suncoast Bedding-Tallahassee FL, Mane N Tail products-Bethlehem PA, Rod Kibler Saddlery-Alto GA, Seminole Feed, J&J Tack, Tack Shack and RCC Western Stores of Ocala, FL.

Denny,
I bought a pair of Runnin Irons without even seeing one and just picked them up last week. My wife Gail, myself and a friend shot them and we all are impressed with the guns. They are what every shooter would want--well built, light, smooth as silk and a great looking gun to boot. They are the best and I can not say enough good about them. Although the Montado is a very good gun, I am so glad I held out for the Runnin Irons. Shoot on!!!
PS My friend, who shoots the Montado is now ordering a pair of Runnin Irons also.

Calvin,
The Runnin' Iron is lighter than the Montado as it is a single action army clone (less parts to break), with the low hammer, wide trigger and action job mounted shooters look for. It also comes with options, such as your choice of stainless or blued, choice of grip, and barrel choices of 3 1/2, 4 3/4 or 5 1/2 inch. I highly recommend them.

Hi Karen, I am looking to buy new guns and I'm looking at the Ruger Montato but am really interested in seeing the Runnin Iron before i buy. But no one seems to have the Runnin Iron locally so I can see and handle one. What is your thoughts on the Runnin Iron? Thanks, Calvin
