Mounted Shooting at the National Western Stock Show in Denver
I was privileged to participate in the 1st ever mounted shooting event at the National Western Stock Show in Denver this weekend. Wow, what an awesome event. There was lots of added money and prizes (over $1000 and 4 buckles), the staff was great, and the crowd was phenomenal. During the intermission of the ticketed Freestyle Reining event, mounted shooters did a 12 minute demo of Wranglers on up (men and ladies), and even did a few match races. The Stock Show management and the crowd loved it. After the Freestyle Reining event hundreds of people remained to watch the Rifle and Eliminator classes. It was a fantastic showcase for our sport. We were also featured on Fox 31 News, and Karie White has already posted this video. Great job, shooters. Hopefully we can grow this event at this national venue.

You guys broke the ice and now we have been invited to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo on March 12. Outside the NFR, the HLSR is the largest and richest in the World. We have 5 nights of demonstrations plus an evening showcase on Saturday night. You guys opened the door for all of us... Congratulations for a great job!!
